Engineer II, Product Support role at RTX (aerospace and defense) focused on supporting nacelle products for business jet platforms in Aftermarket Technical Services. Responsibilities include identifying in-service issues, gathering fleet data, driving root cause investigations, developing containment strategies, and implementing corrective actions. The role involves authoring Service Bulletins, managing Product Support Agreements, resolving warranty disputes, improving customer scorecards, and maintaining customer/supplier relationships. Requires a STEM degree with 2+ years of experience, customer presentation experience, root cause investigation experience, and project leadership experience. Aviation aftermarket and fleet management experience are preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive program and engineering to ensure Aftermarket requirements are considered via Impact Assessments and Fleet Support Plans during the development of design changes, field problem corrective actions, and quality escapes
  2. Author and develop Service Bulletins to implement design changes in the fleet, contain field issues, or address quality escapes
  3. Management and compliance to our Product Support Agreement requirements including tracking operational interruptions, component reliability, removals, repair development, and warranty financials
  4. Work to effectively understand and resolve warranty disputes
  5. Drive improvement to customer scorecards, key performance metrics, and implement and execute standard work

Skills

Required

  • STEM degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience presenting to customers (internal and external)
  • Experience with Root Cause Investigations
  • Experience leading projects (formally and informally)

  • Aviation Aftermarket experience
