What you'd actually do

  1. Analyzes lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand most effectively and efficiently
  2. Builds scalable and sustainable models to optimize product flow, while incorporating cost, schedule, and resource constraints
  3. Develops optimized scheduling tools and aligns SAP/MRP systems with an executable plan given various capacity constraints
  4. Incorporates complex interdependencies within a system to account for the interaction of multiple cost centers, programs, equipment, and tools
  5. Communicates requirements planning and systems framework with IT, ERP, business analytics, and data science teams

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related STEM field
  • 1-4 years of experience in a manufacturing production environment
  • Experience with data mining, data analysis, or data visualization software (e.g., Excel, Tableau)
  • Experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management System)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access
  • Ability to travel at least 10%

Nice to have

  • Experience with SQL, VBA, Python or other programming languages
  • Experience with improving manufacturing workflow using optimization, modeling, or simulation methods
  • Experience with agile methods of project management or development
  • Strong experience designing visualizations in Tableau
