Engineer Manufacturing role at Northrop Grumman focused on the Metal Parts group for Medium Caliber Ammunition (MCA) co-production. What you'd actually do

  1. Aid in install and commissioning activities at the final facilities (often international locations).
  2. Communicating issues and status frequently and effectively both verbally and in writing
  3. Develop and document production procedures, improvements, and customer-training material.
  4. Equipment used includes CNC, grinding, swaging, metal finish, and other processes related to Medium Caliber Ammunition (MCA).
  5. Technical understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.

Skills

Required

Nice to have

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Engineering or related STEM area
  • 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • manufacturing environment, specifically focused in metal component machining
  • Design of Equipment, Tooling, Process Development and Manufacturing Process
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • MS Office software applications
  • engineering design software applications such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, and/or Creo
  • automation, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
