Engineer Manufacturing Systems

This role focuses on managing and improving manufacturing execution systems (MES) within a regulated manufacturing environment. The Engineer, Manufacturing Systems will handle change requests, coordinate workshops, document processes, develop training, and provide first-level support for shop floor users. The ideal candidate has experience with MES/ERP systems and a passion for using digital systems to optimize supply chain performance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage business change requests from initiation to completion
  2. Lead and coordinate workshops with internal customers, process experts and IT
  3. Ensure documentation of business process flow and business requirements
  4. Coordinate the creation of technical solutions and introduction of these with the process owners and key users in the respective production areas
  5. Develop training plans and coordinate training initiatives for functional teams

Skills

Required

  • BS. Degree computer science, engineering, or equivalent
  • 3 years experience in (medical device) manufacturing industry with high exposure to shop floor operations
  • Experience with ERP and/or MES systems (SAP or Camstar)
  • Technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems and information quickly
  • High problem-solving skills
  • Ability to express complex technical concepts in terms understandable to the business
  • Excellent Presentation, Communication & Inter-Personal skills
  • On-site presence in Danvers (Massachusetts) required

Nice to have

  • Experience in FDA regulated industry and familiarity with CFR 21 Part 11, GMP, SAS, and Sarbanes Oxley is a plus
