Northrop Grumman is seeking an Industrial Engineer/Principal Industrial Engineer to support their Master Production Scheduling (MPS) team. The role involves preparing and coordinating production schedules, implementing scheduling best practices, analyzing lead times and throughput, building models to optimize product flow, developing scheduling tools, and guiding digital transformation efforts. The position requires experience with MES, SAP/MRP, data analysis, and project leadership, with a strong emphasis on Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Critical Path Analysis. A U.S. Government Clearance and Special Program Access are required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Preparing, developing and coordinating the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet all objectives
  2. Ensuring manufacturing schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated
  3. Implementing scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to: Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Critical Path Analysis, Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA), Schedule Performance, Health Metrics and Analysis
  4. Analyzes lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand most effectively and efficiently.
  5. Build scalable and sustainable models to optimize product flow, while incorporating cost, schedule, and resource constraints

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 1-4 years of engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experience (depending on level)
  • Manufacturing Execution System (MES), MRP/SAP/Oracle or related experience
  • Experience leading teams or projects
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, excel, including macros and pivot tables
  • Experience with data mining/data analysis
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Clearance and Special Program Access (PAR)

  • Defense Industry Experience
  • Active Secret DOD clearance and Special Program Access
  • Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) Degree

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
