Northrop Grumman is seeking a Propulsion Engineer to perform analysis, design, or test of moderately complex propulsion systems, including energetics, structural components, and control systems. The role involves applying engineering principles to develop solid propellant propulsion systems for launch vehicles, missile systems, and space mission systems, and coordinating multi-disciplinary design and testing processes. The position can be hired at Engineer level 2 or Principal Engineer level 3.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform analysis, design, or test of one or more moderately complex propulsion systems (including energetics), structural components, and control systems for propulsion systems.
  2. Apply engineering principles, industry standards, company standards and customer requirements to develop solid propellant propulsion systems for application in launch vehicles, missile systems, and space mission systems.
  3. Coordinate strategy for developing and leveraging multi-disciplinary design, optimization, and analysis processes to support mission requirements.
  4. Define and coordinate the conduct of testing required to evaluate design work.
