Engineer responsible for the analysis, design, or test of propulsion systems, including materials, structural components, and control systems for launch vehicles, missile systems, and space mission systems. This role involves maintaining technical data packages, supporting material review boards, establishing bills of materials, defining key characteristics, reviewing manufacturing instructions, supporting customer and vendor interchanges, and providing technical support to subcontractors. The engineer will also conduct failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective actions, review test data, and perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA). The role transitions products from development to production.

What you'd actually do

  1. Maintain approved Technical Data Package (TDP)
  2. Provide Material Review Board (MRB) support for all product and material issues
  3. Establish/Maintain Engineering Bill of Materials (BOM)
  4. Establish product Key Characteristics, and or monitor
  5. Review/approve product manufacturing work instructions and ensure compliance with TDP requirements

Skills

Required

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
  • 2 years of related work experience or a MS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
