This role is for a Quality Engineer at Northrop Grumman, supporting manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include material review, corrective actions, root cause investigations, quality data analysis, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the production process. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in an STEM field with experience in quality or manufacturing, and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. This role will support the Integrated Product Team on our manufacturing site and will provide quality support.
  2. Work activities will be focused on Material Review as part of the Nonconforming Material Control process, Corrective Actions & Root Cause Investigations, and quality data analysis and reports.
  3. The successful candidate develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
  4. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  5. Deises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other STEM-related field
  • 2 years of Quality, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, or Quality Analyst experience
  • Experience with process adherence to QMS (AS9100, ISO 9000, and/or ISO 9001) standards
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
  • US Citizenship required

Nice to have

  • Aerospace, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering experience
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma and Root Cause Analysis processes
  • Experience performing drawing reviews, and experience with electrical or mechanical design requirements and specifications
  • Experience with various Inspection Methods and GR&R (Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility)
  • Experience with Preliminary or Material Review Board Process and dispositioning material in a manufacturing facility
  • Active Secret Clearance
