Software Engineer role at Northrop Grumman supporting the LITENING Advanced Targeting Pod. What you'd actually do

  1. Support production and sustainment efforts of LITENING products within the Targeting Systems portfolio
  2. Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  3. Upgrade legacy software
  4. Troubleshoot production software
  5. Writing and reviewing code to requirements
  6. Work cross-functionally on software design, coding, integration, and validation
  7. Interface / communicate with multiple levels of leadership, clients, and vendors
  8. Engage with Systems Engineering to ensure optimal manufacturability of products
  9. Design and validate software for new manufacturing processes

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience; OR a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Experience using C#
  • Experience in software design
  • Experience in software development, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Experience completing software projects involving software design / development activities as well as integration and validation activities on schedule and on budget.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • US citizenship required

Nice to have

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with programming in LabView
  • Experience using basic lab equipment, oscilloscope, function generator, etc.
  • Experience with Electro-optical systems
  • Experience using GitHub
  • Northrop Grumman work experience
