Northrop Grumman is seeking a Technical Services Engineer (Mine Countermeasure (MCM) Mission Module Engineer) to provide technical leadership for the planning, logistics, lifecycle support, integration, and modernization of MCM Mission Module equipment. This role involves supporting sustainment operations, planning maintenance functions, developing schedules, liaising with various organizations, and providing technical advice and problem-solving for military systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. In this role you will function as a Mission Module (MM) equipment Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the Littoral Combat Ship Mission Package Design, Engineering, Production and Sustainment (DEP&S) Program.
  2. This position will serve as technical lead for the planning, logistics, lifecycle support, integration, and modernization of Mine Countermeasure (MCM) Mission Module (MM) equipment.
  3. The selected candidate will support the operations of the Mission Package Support Facility (MPSF) in planning and executing Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Mission Modules (MMs) lifecycle sustainment both ashore and aboard LCS Class Ships.
  4. Plans sequence of assembly, installation, repair and other maintenance functions relating to all assigned equipment.
  5. Plans detailed operations from blueprints, engineering orders, change notices, technical manuals and other engineering releases.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years related experience or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Sustainment of military systems and equipment (e.g., MCM Unmanned Surface Vehicle (MCM USV), Airborne Mine Neutralization System (AMNS), Airborne Laser Mine Detection System (ALMDS), the AN/AQS-20C Mine Hunting Sonar or similar).
  • Physically demanding work (tight spaces, climbing ladders, standing for long periods).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% CONUS and OCONUS.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Active/current Secret Clearance.

  • Working knowledge of Navy Modernization process.
  • Experience in Navy maintenance to include Ship’s Maintenance and Material Management (3M).
