Engineering Analyst, Trust and Safety Payments

This role focuses on managing payment fraud and abuse mitigation, investigating incidents, performing statistical analysis, and collaborating with engineering and product teams to enhance tools and systems for user trust and safety within Google's payments ecosystem. It requires experience in data analysis and the payments industry, with preferred qualifications in SQL, programming, statistical analysis, and potentially ML/LLMs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage payment fraud and abuse mitigation to promote user trust and safety across Google products.
  2. Investigate incidents and perform statistical analysis to identify trends and generate risk management solutions.
  3. Assess product vulnerabilities to design and implement the fraud and abuse mitigation strategies.
  4. Collaborate with global Engineering and Product teams to enhance tools, develop signals, and improve system efficiency.
  5. Participate in the on-call rotation schedule to manage high priority escalations that may occur outside of standard non work hours including weekends/holidays.
