Engineering Lead, Growth and Monetization

Hex Hex · Data AI · United States · Engineering

This role is for a Software Engineering Lead focused on Growth and Monetization within the Hex platform. The team will build growth-focused product features, extend monetization systems, and drive key business outcomes like trial-to-paid conversion and user activation. The role requires a technical leader with strong product sense and business ownership mindset, who can drive impact through both technical leadership and hands-on coding.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serve as a player-coach for a small, cross-functional team driving Hex’s growth and monetization initiatives. You’ll drive impact through both technical leadership and hands-on coding.
  2. Build growth-focused product features: Create full-stack experiences (in React, Typescript, Python, and more) like onboarding flows, core product features, activation nudges, and billing experiences that feel delightful and drive results.
  3. Extend Hex’s backend monetization systems to support novel pricing models and quick iteration as the AI landscape evolves.
  4. Balance experimentation with product sense: Design, run, and iterate on A/B tests across the funnel when it’s appropriate; lean on product sense and customer input when it’s not.
  5. Drive growth metrics: With your team, take responsibility for key business outcomes like trial-to-paid conversion, user activation rates, expansion revenue, or product-led pipeline.
