Robinhood is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team building and scaling its social trading platform. This role involves setting technical direction, driving execution, ensuring system reliability and performance, and growing engineers. The team focuses on core social trading features, content feeds, and user discovery, working closely with product, design, data, ML, and safety teams.

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • 2+ years of engineering management experience leading product-focused engineering teams
  • Strong foundation in building consumer-facing products at scale, with experience working through the stack
  • Deep understanding of web architecture and best practices for building modular, scalable systems within large, evolving codebases
  • Experience building and operating distributed systems that handle high traffic or real-time data
  • Proven ability to grow engineers across levels through mentorship, feedback, and clear expectations
  • An execution-focused mindset, capable of navigating ambiguity and delivering results
  • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical partners
