Engineering Manager for Caterpillar's Building Construction Products (BCP) Division, leading the Engine Systems Team in Sanford, NC. The role focuses on developing and delivering engine system technologies, ensuring emissions compliance, product quality, and customer value. Responsibilities include translating product plans into engineering activities, guiding technical decisions, managing a team of engineers, and collaborating with global teams and suppliers.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the development and delivery of engine system technologies in line with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements and customer needs.
  2. Translate multi‑generation product plans and technology strategy into clear, prioritized engineering activity across both short‑ and longer‑term horizons.
  3. Guide technical decision‑making, balancing risk, performance, cost, timescales and return on investment.
  4. Act as a technical role model, promoting high‑quality engineering delivery while aligning with wider enterprise strategies and investments.
  5. Lead, coach and develop an engineering team, building deep technical capability to support current delivery and future requirements

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, or another accredited engineering discipline
