Engineering Manager, Commercial Technology — Identity Platform

Rivian Rivian · Auto · Belgrade, Serbia · Software Engineering

Engineering Manager to lead Rivian's Identity Platform team, responsible for authentication, authorization, and user lifecycle management for all customer-facing products (mobile, web, vehicle software). This role involves building a new team in Serbia, owning the engineering roadmap, driving knowledge transfer, and managing stakeholder relationships across various internal teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead, grow, and develop a team of engineers working on Rivian's customer identity platform
  2. Drive hiring, onboarding, and culture-setting for the initial Serbia-based team
  3. Own sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and delivery of the team's roadmap
  4. Coordinate and complete the knowledge transfer from the outgoing US engineering team; ensure the Serbia team independently owns operations and on-call by end of year
  5. Be the primary point of contact for operational health — own incident response processes, escalation paths, and on-call for the Serbia team
