Engineering Manager, Mobile to lead the future of Replit's mobile experiences. This role will build and manage a team that bridges design and engineering to create intuitive, performant mobile interfaces that make software creation accessible on any device. The manager will guide the team in building production-ready frameworks and patterns that enable high-quality in-product experiences, ensuring users can create apps from their phones or tablets with the same power as desktop.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build, mentor, and grow a team of mobile design engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and design craftsmanship
  2. Define the technical vision and strategy for mobile design systems, establishing frameworks and patterns that ship to production and scale across iOS, Android, and responsive web
  3. Partner closely with design, product, and engineering leadership to prioritize mobile initiatives and ensure seamless collaboration between design and development teams
  4. Drive best practices for mobile-first development, ensuring your team builds production-grade patterns that deliver consistent, high-quality experiences while optimizing for performance
  5. Oversee the architecture of complex mobile UI components and systems, providing technical guidance and code review to maintain high standards
