Engineering Manager to lead and grow a team of Infrastructure engineers at Privy, a Stripe-owned company focused on developer tooling for privacy and user ownership online. The role involves owning team outcomes, driving infrastructure vision (including secure enclaves and BYOC), ensuring quality and performance, and coaching engineers. Requires strong management experience and technical excellence.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own long-term team outcomes and success of Privy’s product and business
  2. Drive the future vision of infrastructure of Privy alongside talented infrastructure engineers, across complex, cutting edge technology like secure enclaves (TEEs) and one-click Bring Your Own Cloud deployments, with performance and high scale as a default.
  3. Hold the team accountable to excellence in quality, throughput, and performance
  4. Ensure the team is working on the right scope of work and projects, align decisions with business impact, and build interfaces with other parts of the org
  5. Fill gaps as a player-coach; review PRs, write and review design docs, investigate incidents – stay close to the metal and reinforce our builder culture

  • Observability, incident response, capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure automation (IaC, CI/CD for infra)
  • Background in building low-latency, high-throughput systems for trading or payment processing
  • Any blend of public cloud/BYOC architectures
