Responsibilities
- Develop the mid-term technical goals and roadmap within the scope of your (often multiple) team(s). Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.
- Design, guide and vet systems designs within the scope of the broader area, and write product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.
- Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Plan the roadmap for key network infrastructure initiatives
- Work with cross functional partners across Serverless and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to deliver cross-team projects and work with customers to help find solutions to their blocking issues.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience with software development, system design and people management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Experience with negotiating timelines and delivering projects involving multiple partner teams
- Experience with managing teams working in networking
- Experience working with customers to understand requirements and deliver simple solutions.
