The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000-$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, scoping, and long-term technical goal for sharing infrastructure, ensuring architectural decisions align with organizational priorities. Clarify, make tractable, and drive complex, ambiguous technical roadmaps.
- Lead Engineering teams in designing and optimizing scalable sharing infrastructure and UI primitives to drive ecosystem growth for Gemini and other strategic Google products.
- Serve as the primary engineering lead, exhibiting leadership and influencing designs across multiple groups, partnering closely with product management, UX, and data science to bridge system architecture with product strategy.
- Support the team to strategically leverage AI/ML tools to enhance team creativity, collaboration, and engineering velocity.
- Hire, coach, and mentor a high-performing Engineering team, fostering career development and a culture of technical excellence.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in JavaScript, web applications, and front-end development.
- 8 years of experience in people management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in Android development, iOS development, C++, server platform, testing, data analysis, architecture, and strategic thinking.
