Engineering Manager for Windows Enterprise & Security team, responsible for leading a team to ship enterprise and security-critical Windows capabilities. The role emphasizes leveraging AI-forward engineering practices to improve productivity, quality, and developer effectiveness, while also establishing guardrails for responsible AI tool usage.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead multiple engineers delivering Windows enterprise and security features that ship broadly across the Windows ecosystem.
  2. Own endtoend execution: roadmap planning, technical design, delivery, livesite readiness, and sustained quality.
  3. Hire, onboard, and develop engineers across levels, building a strong, inclusive, and growthoriented engineering culture.
  4. Champion AIassisted and agentic engineering workflows across the team
  5. Partner closely with ENS teams in Redmond and across Windows to deliver shared outcomes and aligned technical direction.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading software engineering teams delivering largescale, production systems.
  • Solid technical background in systems, platform, or securityoriented engineering.
  • Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain highperforming engineering talent.
  • Experience driving execution across complex, crossteam dependencies in a global environment.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years people management experience.
  • Experience shipping operating system or platformlevel functionality and supporting customers at scale.
  • Familiarity with Windows architecture, operating system fundamentals, or platform security concepts.
  • Ability to create clarity, energy, and cohesion across organizations and teams.
