Engineering Program Manager

This role is for an Engineering Program Manager at an AI company. The EPM will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing complex technical programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Science, Marketing, Design, Solutions), tracking project progress, improving processes, managing stakeholders, and mitigating risks. The role requires technical expertise, project management excellence, and cross-functional leadership to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of projects, including coordinating model and product releases.

What you'd actually do

  1. Oversee and manage our development and deployment processes, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with product timelines.
  2. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, Science, Marketing/Coms teams, Design, and Solutions to ensure alignment of engineering operations with overall product and business objectives.
  3. Track project progress, timelines, and resources. Assist teams to implement processes to smoothen delivery process.
  4. Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and productivity of the engineering team, in coordination with the other TPMs.
  5. Regularly communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on program status, risks, and issues, and to manage expectations.

Skills

Required

  • Degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, etc.)
  • Proven experience in managing technical programs, preferably within an engineering team
  • Strong understanding of software lifecycle management and deployment processes
