Our team is seeking a project manager to help drive collaborative discussion between engineering, design, business and operations teams in support of several new product areas.
Description
The in-region EPM will be responsible for managing the prototype builds of accessory products, utilizing program/project management skills to drive program schedule and resolve technical issues that enable on-time delivery. Role encompasses interfacing with EE, PD, DFM & module teas. Driving the full product life cycle as well as managing vendors who deliver strategic solutions.
Responsibilities
Own and track engineering development schedules of the product, working closely alongside teams of electrical and mechanical engineers to coordinate the release the designs and support engineering builds. Planning and execution of build events, including material planning and factory readiness Be the primary point of contact with vendors and CM partners to establish a daily build plan, provide clear direction and guidance to meet the program and build objectives. Lead the cross-functional teams to resolve the issues at the build Manage and build CM engineering teams to provide qualified engineering service
Minimum Qualifications
Proven track record of managing complex hardware product schedules and engineering builds down to the small details Strong technical background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering 5+ years of relevant hardware engineering experience in consumer electronics 3+ years of project management experience OEM/ODM/JDM management experience Proactive and highly self-motivated; demonstrates critical thinking capabilities with strong attention to detail Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles and constant change; remains flexible and calm when facing of uncertainty Ability to travel internationally and domestically BS / MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of managing cross-functional teams in a matrix organization History of managing go to market activities Ability to think strategically, while driving tactical details Experience working with teams of diverse technical backgrounds and quickly learning from them
