Engineering Technician role supporting the Armament Systems Division, focusing on Load, Assemble, Pack (LAP) processes of energetics and/or munition systems. Responsibilities include developing mechanical designs, operating equipment, performing quality checks, and collaborating with engineering and production teams. Requires a high school diploma and 2 years of related experience or education, with a trade school degree preferred. Experience in mechanical assembly and high mechanical aptitude are desired.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform Load, Assemble, Pack (LAP) processes of energetics and/or munition systems in a team or individual environment.
  2. Work with Engineers to help develop mechanical designs during early-stage development programs and work to continuously improve legacy programs.
  3. Follow Detailed Operating Procedures and collect/record data as necessary.
  4. Ability to learn and operate many different types of equipment.
  5. Perform in-process quality checks with various hand tools and gauges.

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of additional education and/or related experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Engineers, Production Control, Quality and Test Personnel
  • Must have a safety-first mentality with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task

Nice to have

  • 2-year degree from a trade school or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical assembly
  • High mechanical aptitude
