Engineering Technician role focused on testing and reworking prototype PCB hardware, setting up data acquisition equipment, conducting experiments, troubleshooting, and documenting results within an engineering laboratory for GE Healthcare.

What you'd actually do

  1. Test and rework prototype hardware consisting of complex surface mount devices.
  2. Use basic test equipment (digital oscilloscopes, volt meters) and knowledge of electronics layout schematics to find and resolve root cause of PCB failures.
  3. Perform basic trouble shooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution.
  4. Manage the configuration of the hardware within a large number (20) of complex engineering prototype systems.
  5. Perform software and hardware evaluation and implement plans using knowledge of product, system operation, intermodular interactions, engineering tools, and interactive software tools as required.
