Engineering Test Technician

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company developing AI-powered systems for military applications. This role focuses on testing optical systems, running validation and system-level tests, troubleshooting issues, and documenting results. The technician will use MATLAB for data collection and analysis, maintain test equipment, and participate in root cause analysis. Collaboration with the test engineering team to improve processes is also expected. Requires an Associate's degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years in testing, experience with cryogenics/vacuum systems, MATLAB proficiency, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform testing of optical equipment according to procedures and specifications.
  2. Run validation and system-level testing to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with optical systems during testing, identifying problems in electrical systems and the associated programs.
  4. Follow detailed test work instructions and document results accurately in the system.
  5. Utilize MATLAB for data collection, coding, and analysis to support testing activities.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of infrared systems or optical systems including performance requirements and verification methodologies.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, thermal chambers, and data acquisition sensors.
  • Understanding of computer hardware communication protocols (USB, Ethernet, RS232, etc.).
