Manage deployments, upgrades, and support for Systems Engineering tools, leading a team of Tool Specialists. Champion the deployment of new and existing integrated Systems Engineering solutions, consult with programs on implementation, and identify/document best practices. Work with program engineers to plan and implement migrations off legacy applications to modern tools, and engage strategic vendors for technology evaluations and improvements.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage deployments, upgrades and support for Systems Engineering tools including testing, data backups, compliance, tool integrations & configurations
  2. Lead a team of Tool Specialists in support and sustainment of Systems Engineering tools
  3. Champion the deployment of new and existing integrated Systems Engineering solutions, and consult with programs on the implementation
  4. Identify, document, and champion best practices and improvements which help increase the efficiency of our software deployment and support
  5. Work with program Engineers to plan and implement migrations off legacy Systems Engineering applications to modern tools.
  6. Engage strategic vendors for Systems Engineering technology evaluations and improvements which will address Raytheon needs

Skills

Required

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience
  • Experience in the application of engineering tools/solutions in two or more of the following Systems and Software Engineering capability areas: Architecture/Modeling, Math & Analysis, Modeling & Simulation, Model Based Systems Engineering, & Advanced Analysis & Test.
  • Experience with Agile or Model Based Engineering practices, tools, and methods.
  • Admin experience with Windows and Linux, along with strong scripting / automation background with the ability to troubleshoot / solve complex problems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools, particularly Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice to have

  • Program experience in roles of increasing technical leadership and responsibility
  • Detailed working knowledge (including day to day use on a program) of Architecture tools such as Dassault Cameo/Teamwork Cloud, Syndeia, and Ansys Model Center.
  • In-depth understanding of data center and cloud-based hosting architectures.
  • Experience with Systems, Software, and IV&V Engineering Processes.
  • Integrated Product Development Process (IPDP), best practices, and work instructions expertise.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills including presentation and negotiation skills, preparing management level briefings and summary explanations
  • Self-directed with demonstrated ability to organize and provide technical leadership for a diverse (both geographic and technical) team.
