What you will be doing…
The vRAN Operations plays a critical role in ensuring the reliable operations and maintenance of our virtual Radio Access Network (vRAN). This position involves operating and maintaining the virtual RAN ecosystem. Work performed will include upgrading of the vRAN stack, deployment of new vRAN elements, complex problem-solving of vRAN technical issues, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to standards to maintain high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Schedule and perform software and other upgrades across the vRAN hardware, cloud platforms and virtual applications
- Resolve service-impacting and other issues on the vRAN network elements in a timely manner
- Root cause analysis of vRAN deployment and upgrade automation fallout
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of activities, technical issues and resolutions.
- Lead and execute in-depth troubleshooting activities for complex vRAN failures
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure timely and effective support of vRAN activities.
- Meet or exceed vRAN key performance metrics including Timely Restoral of Service (TROS) and Time to Resolve trouble tickets.
- Recommend vRAN process and tools enhancements that will enable efficiencies and increase productivity.
What we are looking for…
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or three or more years of hands-on work experience.
- Experience in a Field Service, Product Support, Quality Engineering, or Reliability Engineering role, preferably in the wireless network industry.
- Experience in cloud-based infrastructure, services or applications
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Wireless Radio Access Network (RAN) architecture.
- Experience in construction, maintenance, optimization and/or performance of cellular networks
- Strong knowledge and understanding of virtual and containerized cloud platforms including Verizon Cloud Platform on Core, Edge and Far Edge.
- Experience with internal tools including Integrated Ops Portal (IOP) and Vendor Portal (VP) as well as experience utilizing infrastructure vendor EMS
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and drive complex issues to resolution.
- Ability to effectively and reliably manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven record of detail-oriented performance.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- This position will require working shift hours to support daytime time hours in the United States.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace products including GMail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Meet, etc.
