Enterprise Account Executive, Federal

This is a sales role for an Enterprise Account Executive focused on the Federal market. The role involves acquiring new customers and growing revenue within an assigned territory. While the company, MongoDB, is heavily involved in AI and has redefined its database for the AI era, this specific position is in sales and does not involve building or directly working with AI/ML models or systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Proactively, identify, qualify and close a sales pipeline
  2. Strategically prospect into CTOs, Engineering/IT Leaders, & technical end users
  3. Build strong and effective relationships, resulting in growth opportunities
  4. Partner with our Solution Architects and work closely with the Professional Services team to achieve customer satisfaction
  5. Work closely with the enterprise ecosystem partner sales and channel partner to maximize deal sizes

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of field experience of quota-carrying experience
  • Demonstrated ability to open new accounts and run a complex sales process
  • A proven track record of overachievement and hitting sales targets
  • Ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology
  • Skilled in building business champions
  • Driven and competitive
  • Fluent in English
  • Must live in territory

Nice to have

  • Previous Sales Methodology training (e.g. MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sales)
  • Familiarity with databases, develops and open source technology
