Enterprise Account Executive (federal)

LangChain LangChain · Data AI · Washington, DC · Sales

This role is for a Federal Enterprise Account Executive at LangChain, a company focused on making AI agents ubiquitous. The role involves owning the full sales cycle for U.S. federal agencies (DoD, Civilian, IC), understanding their mission requirements, and demonstrating how LangChain's products solve problems. It requires navigating federal procurement, building relationships with decision-makers and partners, and staying informed about the federal AI landscape. The role also involves bringing customer insights back to product and engineering teams and helping define the federal sales playbook. While the company builds AI agents, this specific role is in sales and customer-facing product adoption, not direct AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own and manage the full federal sales cycle, from lead stage to close with a strong bias for follow-up and follow-through
  2. Act as a trusted advisor to federal prospects and customers — including DoD, Civilian Agencies, and IC — learning their mission requirements and demonstrating how LangChain's products solve real problems
  3. Drive proof-of-concept efforts, working with solutions engineers and product experts to demonstrate tangible value in government environments
  4. Navigate federal procurement mechanisms — GWACs, IDIQs, OTAs, BPAs, and direct agency contracts — to close complex, multi-stakeholder deals with speed and precision
  5. Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior agency decision-makers, program managers, and contracting officers, as well as system integrator partners (e.g., Booz Allen, SAIC, Leidos) and resellers (e.g., Carahsoft) who help drive and support deal flow
