This role is for an Enterprise Account Executive focused on growth within MongoDB's existing customer base. The primary responsibility is to identify and pursue new business opportunities, cultivate relationships with stakeholders, and drive the adoption of MongoDB's developer data platform, which is used to build AI-powered applications. The role involves managing the full sales cycle, developing territory plans, and collaborating with the sales ecosystem. While the company's product enables AI development, this role is in sales and does not directly build or ship AI models or systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prospect into CTOs, Engineering/IT leaders, and technical end users
  2. Grow a current base of MongoDB customers by landing new workloads through outbound prospecting
  3. Manage the full sales cycle for all MongoDB Products & Services
  4. Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to achieve revenue targets
  5. Collaborate with the sales ecosystem to drive sales initiatives and partnerships

Skills

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying field sales experience
  • Closing new workloads

  • Previous Sales Methodology training (e.g. MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sales)
  • Familiarity with databases, developers and open source technology
