Enterprise Account Executive, State & Local Sales

This role is for an Enterprise Account Executive focused on selling Anthropic's AI products to state and local government agencies. The primary responsibility is driving new business, managing the sales cycle, and building relationships with key decision-makers. The role requires a deep understanding of government operations, procurement processes, and security/compliance requirements. Collaboration with GTM, product, and marketing teams is also expected.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive new business and revenue growth specifically within state and local government agencies, owning the full sales cycle from initial outreach through deployment
  2. Navigate the unique requirements of state and local government procurement, including state-specific regulations, security standards, and agency-specific requirements
  3. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across state, county, and municipal agencies, becoming a trusted advisor on AI capabilities and implementation
  4. Develop and execute strategic account plans that align with agency missions and modernization initiatives
  5. Provide detailed market intelligence and customer feedback to product teams to ensure our offerings meet state and local government requirements
