Enterprise Sales Director (pnw)

This is an Enterprise Sales Director role for dbt Labs, a company that provides an analytics engineering platform used for data transformations and AI use cases. The role focuses on building the enterprise customer base in the Pacific Northwest, managing the full sales cycle, organizing POCs, and contributing to the product roadmap. The company has surpassed $100 million in ARR and is backed by major investors.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the full sales cycle from lead to ongoing utilization for commercial prospects
  2. Organize POC implementations of dbt Cloud Enterprise
  3. Lead and contribute to team projects that develop our sales process
  4. Work with product to build and maintain the dbt Cloud commercial roadmap
  5. Become an expert in SQL, dbt, and commercial data operations
  6. Be an active member of the dbt open source community

Skills

Required

  • 4+ years closing experience in technology sales
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and develop them into a consultative sale
  • Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills
  • The diligence and organizational skills to work long, intricate sales cycles
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment
  • Experience with SQL or willingness to learn

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced software
  • Knowledge of or prior experience with dbt
