What you'd actually do

  1. Provide technical expertise in presentations, product demonstrations, and technical evaluations (POV) for enterprise customers.
  2. Collaborate with sales teams, technical account managers, CSMs, and other account teams to articulate Datadog's overall value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
  3. Technically support customers during the trial phase, communicating Datadog's value and working with customers to address identified issues or concerns to ensure success.
  4. Close complex deals technically by leveraging advanced industry knowledge, technical skills, and building trust with customers.
  5. Actively engage and communicate with customers and Datadog's business/technical teams regarding product feedback and competitive landscape.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in sales engineering (pre-sales) or related roles
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Ability to identify and solve business-critical challenges for customers
  • Ability to build and execute evaluation plans with customers
  • Proactive, technically proficient professional
  • Ability to understand enterprise business requirements
  • Ability to explain Datadog's value and technical details to C-level executives, technical experts, and others
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to understand and clearly articulate both business value and technical benefits
