Datadog is seeking an Enterprise Sales Engineer for the Hong Kong market to provide technical expertise, support sales, and gather customer feedback for product prioritization. The role involves technical engagement, closing complex opportunities, and delivering product briefings. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in sales engineering or related fields, cloud and modern app stack knowledge, and familiarity with observability/security tooling. Proficiency in English is required, with Cantonese being advantageous. Travel up to 45% is expected.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with the Enterprise Sales team to articulate the overall Datadog value proposition, vision and strategy to customers
  2. Own technical engagement with customers during the trial phase. Communicate Datadog’s value based on activities and work with customers on any identified issues or concerns to successful conclusion
  3. Technically close complex opportunities through advanced competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility
  4. Deliver product and technical briefings / presentations to potential clients
  5. Maintain accurate notes and feedback in CRM regarding customer input both wins and losses
