Datadog is seeking an Enterprise Sales Engineer for Mexico to provide technical expertise, support sales, and gather customer feedback for their AI-powered observability and security platform. The role involves technical engagement during trials, closing complex opportunities, and delivering product briefings. While the company heavily utilizes AI, this specific role is in sales engineering, focusing on customer interaction and technical sales support rather than direct AI/ML model development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own technical engagement with customers during the trial phase. Communicate Datadog’s value based on activities and work with customers on any identified issues or concerns to successful conclusion
  2. Technically close complex opportunities through advanced competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility
  3. Deliver product and technical briefings / presentations to potential clients
  4. Proactively engage and communicate with customers and Datadog business/technical teams regarding product feedback and competitive landscape
  5. Partner with the Sales team to articulate the overall Datadog value proposition, vision and strategy to customers

Skills

Required

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Programming/scripting with Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, and .NET
  • Minimum of 3+ years in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role
  • Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English

  • Passion for educating customers on observability risks
  • Ability to build and execute an evaluation plan with a customer
