Datadog is seeking an experienced Federal Enterprise Sales Executive to sell their observability and security platform, which leverages AI to manage complexity and resolve issues for customers. The role involves prospecting, building relationships, negotiating deals, and ensuring forecasting accuracy within large Fortune 1000 companies in the Federal Civilian sector.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process
  2. Maintain, build and own specific relationship maps for your territory including existing relationships and aspirational contacts
  3. Develop a deep comprehension of customer's business
  4. Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and ROI
  5. Handle existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into assigned territory

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years closing experience (mix of field selling within mid-market and enterprise)
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding direct sales goals of 1M+ and operating with an average deal size of $100k+
  • Ability to demonstrate methodology to prospect and build pipeline independently
  • Experience selling into large Fortune 1000 companies with the ability to win new logos
  • Experience in working for an innovative tech company (SaaS, IT infrastructure or similar preferred)
  • Ability to sit up to 4 hours, traveling to and from client sites
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
