Enterprise Sales Executive (sled)

Datadog is seeking an experienced Enterprise Sales Executive (SLED) to prospect into State, Local, and Education organizations, build relationships, and drive revenue growth for their observability and security platform, which leverages AI to manage complexity at scale.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prospect into State, Local, and Education organizations while running an efficient sales process
  2. Maintain, build and own specific relationship maps for your territory including existing relationships and aspirational contacts
  3. Develop a deep comprehension of customer's business
  4. Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with SLED enterprises by selling value and ROI
  5. Handle existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into assigned territory

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years closing experience (mix of field selling within mid-market or enterprise)
  • Proven ability to prospect and build pipeline
  • Experience selling into state, local, and education organizations
  • Ability to win new logos
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with challenges
  • Intuitive sense of necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation
  • Identify robust set of value drivers behind all opportunities
  • Ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency

Nice to have

  • Experience in an innovative tech company (SaaS, IT infrastructure or similar preferred)
  • Sales training in MEDDIC and Command of the Message
