Enterprise Solutions Engineer for Postman, a leading API platform. This role involves partnering with the sales team to promote API-first development, nurture customer relationships, and guide users in leveraging the Postman platform. Responsibilities include conducting technical demos, proof of value workshops, handling technical questions, understanding customer workflows, sharing feedback, and creating proof of concept integrations. Requires extensive experience in enterprise sales, solutions engineering, software development, and API platforms.

What you'd actually do

  1. Help drive enterprise sales by nurturing prospects & supporting Strategic & Enterprise customers
  2. Conduct discovery, qualification, technical demos, & proof of value workshops with prospective customers looking to embrace Postman for their API lifecycle
  3. Handle Postman technical questions or objections & provide solutions or workarounds to address customer needs
  4. Understand deeply our customer workflows today & how they can adopt API-first development best practices
  5. Share customer feedback with appropriate teams & provide general customer advocacy

Skills

Required

  • Enterprise sales/solutions engineering experience
  • Software development experience
  • API and Data platforms experience
  • JavaScript
  • Expert Postman user
  • Understanding of modern development methodologies & DevOps
  • Familiarity with typical developer tooling (IDEs, Git, CI/CD, monitoring services, microservices, containers, cloud computing services)
  • Excellent communication skills (presentation, verbal & written)
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Experience engaging senior management & executive audiences
