Entry Level Lab Technician at Boeing supporting the Air Force Research Lab in advancing Space Domain Awareness capabilities using ground-based telescopes. What you'd actually do

  1. Plans, conducts, and documents tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies
  2. Troubleshoots and resolves complex laboratory and test-related problems
  3. Coordinates test laboratory activities, maintenance and repairs, and personnel training
  4. Assists government agencies, safety and hazardous materials teams in the event of emergencies
  5. Assists engineers and senior technicians with efforts such as optical alignment, maintenance, and repair

Skills

Required

  • Experience in engineering technician, construction or facilities maintenance disciplines
  • Experience working with powered hand tools or equipment
  • Willing and able to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends

Nice to have

  • 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
  • Experience operating complex computer-based analysis or control systems
  • Experience with high power lasers
  • Experience with optical alignment techniques
  • Experience with electronics/electrical systems
  • Experience with mechanical systems
