What you'd actually do

  1. Establishes procedures, standards, protocols and reporting requirements.
  2. Utilize lean manufacturing tools; recommend improvements in production methods, standards, tooling, equipment, layout, procedures, product designs, and performance efficiency.
  3. Support engineering and manufacturing activities for all Surface Mount operations including programming, calibrating, and operating equipment and machines.
  4. Develop preventive maintenance plans, troubleshooting and support of repairs on SMT machines and equipment.
  5. Designing and modifying solder paste stencils and other SMT tooling and shop aids.

Skills

Required

  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Experience with IPC & J-STD-001
  • 1+ years of experience with Printed Circuit Board (PCB), Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Manufacturing Engineering and Process Design
  • 1+ years of experience working with and maintaining Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines and equipment
  • Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawing and documents, CAD files, instructions, operation manuals, safety rules, etc.

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Interpersonal and language skills
  • Knowledge of problem-solving tools
