Entry-level software developer role supporting the PAC3 missile defense system for Boeing's Advanced Design and Prototype Solutions (ADaPS) team. Responsibilities include assisting with flight software, test software, and software tools development using Java, C++, or Python on Linux or Windows operating systems. Requires a Bachelor's degree and ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Assist with the development and fielding of flight software for PAC3 seeker systems
  2. Assist with the design and development of test software for PAC3 seeker software
  3. Assist with the creation of software tools for use on the PAC3 seeker program
  4. Work in small agile teams composed of diverse engineering skills
  5. Use your talents to tackle complex problems on a variety of programs

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance post-start
  • 1+ years of experience with software development using either Java, C++, or Python
  • Operating system knowledge of LINUX or Windows

Nice to have

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 0 years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of directly related work experience OR 8+ years of related, relevant experience
  • Active Interim Secret Clearance or higher
  • 1+ years of experience in the software engineering or aerospace engineering industry
  • Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment practices
  • Experience with instituting and maintaining DevSecOps practices and processes
  • Experience with real-time operating systems, e.g. VxWorks
  • Experience with modern software development practices (Version Control, Agile, etc)
  • Some work experience or knowledge of telemetry protocols and testing
