Entry-level Spacecraft Harness Engineer - Millennium Space Systems

Boeing Boeing · Aerospace · El Segundo, CA

Entry-level engineer focused on spacecraft harness and printed wiring board design for national security space missions. Responsibilities include developing EWIS architectures, generating diagrams, selecting components, supporting PCB design, and preparing test procedures. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and ability to obtain a security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Development & analysis of EWIS architectures for multiple programs and bus configurations from mission and scientific payloads to experimental LEO small satellites to MEO constellations and GEO vehicles
  2. Generation of subsystem or unit-to-unit electrical block diagrams
  3. Definition and documentation of signal connectivity through cross functional coordination with system, subsystem, and product engineers for spacecraft harness or printed wiring board design
  4. Selection of harness components and hardware, such connectors, backshells, and wire/cable based on applicable satellite mission requirements and industry standards
  5. Support generation of voltage drop analysis, power current derating, and capacitance circuit analysis for harness and printed wiring boards
