Equipment and Inventory Planner, Data Center Construction

Meta Meta · Big Tech · Menlo Park, CA +1

This role is for an Equipment and Inventory Planner within Meta's Data Center Engineering and Construction team. The primary focus is on translating site-specific requirements into a global equipment and material demand plan, aligning internal needs with market supply chain capacity. The role involves coordinating equipment prioritization, reporting on supply and demand gaps, and facilitating business responses to de-bottleneck the supply chain. While the role mentions integrating and developing AI skills, its core function is in supply chain and project management for data center construction, not directly building or shipping AI models or products.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead equipment and material demand planning for all active, planned, optionality, and enablement BOM projects within the Equipment/Material Controls team
  2. Facilitate prioritization review meetings to address supply-demand gaps
  3. Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the team
  4. Coordinate matrixed communication channels to ensure stakeholder engagement
  5. Record and assess accepted delays, including their impact on PR dates and key milestones
