This role is for an Equipment Engineering Design Lead in the Supply Chain Engineering function, focusing on mechanical engineering. The lead will be responsible for generating equipment designs that meet manufacturing, safety, and performance requirements, providing technical leadership on equipment-related issues, and leading the design of equipment from concept to deployment. The role requires proficiency in CAD software, GD&T, and experience in medical device manufacturing is a plus.

What you'd actually do

  1. Generation of equipment designs which meet manufacturing, safety , and performance requirements. Designs include new tooling, fixtures, and modification/upgrades for new and existing products.
  2. Providing technical leadership on equipment related product and process issues.
  3. Analyze designs using solid models and drawings with Computer Aided Design (“CAD”) using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (“GD&T”), and stack-up analyses.
  4. Required to take a lead role in the design of the equipment from concept to deployment.
  5. Ensure documentation/drawing standards for equipment meet company SOP requirements.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or equivalent
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in equipment design or tooling
  • Proficient in the use of CAD software (SolidWorks) to design & draft mechanical assemblies
  • Good communication skills
