Joby Aviation is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on factory equipment for VTOL electric aircraft. Responsibilities include maintaining manual, semi-automated, and fully automated manufacturing equipment, setting up preventive maintenance schedules in a SaaS platform, and stocking spares. The role involves working with various tools and systems including robotic workstations, welders, ovens, compressors, and electrical testing equipment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on manual, semi-automated, and fully automated manufacturing equipment.
  2. Contribute to setting up preventive maintenances in our SaaS maintenance platform.
  3. Order and stock service spares.
  4. Carry-out preventative maintenance to properly service and maintain all current and future production equipment. This may include utilizing hand tools and power tools, machine-shop fabrication equipment, electrical wiring and troubleshooting, working with high voltage and hydraulic/pneumatic pressure systems, mechanical component assembly, general equipment troubleshooting,

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of experience
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of work
  • Motivated to support the company’s mission
  • Able to operate multiple equipment per SOP and basic hand tools (electric and manual)
  • Strong work ethic
  • Able to adapt to sudden changes in daily priorities
  • Team oriented attitude
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving techniques and analytical ability
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks according to daily plans
  • Able to lift 25-35 lbs. twice per hour and perform repetitive tasks

Nice to have
