Boeing is seeking Equipment & Tool Engineers to support asset lifecycle management for test and evaluation, and engineering innovation. The role involves requirements discovery, specification, purchasing, installation, operations, and retirement of production assets. Responsibilities include stakeholder discovery, developing production asset requirements and concepts, validating technical data, leading equipment and tooling definition, making disposition for asset issues, executing project plans, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, leading gated reviews, and developing maintenance plans.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform stakeholder discovery, develop production asset requirements, highly complex production asset concepts and design solutions
  2. Validate analysis of technical data, influence product design and make automation or technical recommendations to support production system integration for aerospace products
  3. Lead the creation and modification of equipment and tooling definition
  4. Makes rework and repair dispositions of asset issues and non-conformances
  5. Execute project plans, provides input to Make/Buy decisions and partners with Procurement to meet schedule, cost and quality targets

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 3+ years of experience with system design & integration, operational procedures, hazard identification and requirements, to prevent or control mishap risk throughout the life of the product
  • Experience with machine integration or equipment engineering
  • 1+ years of experience in multiple Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and/or Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) applications (e.g. Mastercam, CATIA V5, Unigraphics, etc.)
