Equipment & Tooling Software Engineer (associate, Experienced And/or Senior)

Boeing is seeking Equipment & Tooling Software Engineers to architect, plan, implement, test, and maintain software for the 787 production system, including desktop, cloud-based, and industrial applications. The role involves owning software products in a DevSecOps manner, programming and troubleshooting automation systems, and serving as a subject matter expert for software acquisitions. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of experience in engineering and software development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Architects, plans, implements, tests, and maintains software with the 787-production system including desktop, cloud-based, and industrial applications.
  2. Learns and understands the underlying build process of the 787 Dreamliner to find, resolve, and recommend changes for production-grade software applications.
  3. Owns software products in a DevSecOps manner from initial conception through retirement.
  4. Programs, integrates, & troubleshoots automation systems from industry leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
  5. Serves as a subject matter expert related to acquisitions of software from vendors (including requirements definition, authoring, bid review, implementation oversight).

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 2+ years of experience working in an engineering discipline application.
  • 2+ years of experience working in software development.
