This role is for an Estimating and Pricing Specialist – Labor Team Lead at Boeing Defense, Space and Security. The primary responsibilities include leading the development of complex labor estimates, building and supporting program stages, leading the development and application of pricing strategies using computational techniques, leading business proposals, developing complex pricing models, performing complex analysis for pricing and estimating, leading the development/application/maintenance of rates and factors, and leading compliance activities. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of experience in cost estimating/pricing, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience with government proposals. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of US Government Cost Accounting Standards and FAR, and experience performing risk analysis. The role is in the defense domain and requires a security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead development of complex labor estimates with complex technical requirements through the design
  2. Build and support all stages of the program
  3. Lead development and application of pricing strategies using innovative computational techniques
  4. Lead business proposals, evaluates and makes recommendations based on complex requests for proposal and substantiates estimates and pricing
  5. Develop complex pricing models

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or higher degree
  • 5+ years of experience in performing cost estimating/pricing function
  • Experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
  • Experience working on government proposals, to include Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) compliant proposals
  • U.S. export control compliance requirements
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience with and knowledge of United States Government Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Experiencing performing risk analysis
