Microsoft is seeking an Executive Compensation Program Manager to design, deliver, maintain, and evolve executive compensation programs. This role involves compensation analysis, modeling, consulting, and governance, partnering with HR, Legal, and other business partners to provide data-driven insights and ensure compliance with disclosure and governance requirements. The position requires a blend of analytical rigor and clear communication to translate complex pay and governance considerations into practical guidance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serve as the primary consultant on executive compensation matters within assigned business groups, partnering directly with HR leadership to attract and retain executives
  2. Conduct compensation analysis, costing, and scenario modeling to inform compensation decisions and related tradeoffs
  3. Modernize executive compensation modeling tools and resources to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for leaders and key stakeholders
  4. Partner closely with Legal to ensure executive compensation programs align with disclosure, governance, and compliance requirements and support the development of the Compensation Discussion & Analysis (CD&A ) and proxy tables
  5. Prepare materials for leadership and Compensation Committee review, including equity usage analyses and other summaries of ongoing program status

Skills

Required

  • 4+ years compensation experience
  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or related field AND 4+ years experience in compensation, data analytics, human resources, finance, business, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or related field AND 6+ years experience in compensation, data analytics, human resources, finance, business, or related field OR equivalent experience
