This role is for a Strategic Program Director within JPMorgan Chase's Chief Data Office Strategy and Execution team. The primary focus is to lead enterprise transformation programs aimed at modernizing data and privacy management and governance. The role involves managing large, cross-functional initiatives from initiation through implementation, partnering with product and technology teams, and ensuring alignment with the data roadmap. Key responsibilities include defining success measures, managing risks, and providing executive-level reporting. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills in a complex, matrixed environment. While the role aims to enable AI-ready data, it does not involve direct AI/ML model development or deployment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead strategic change initiatives end-to-end from initiation through completion, managing scope, timelines, budget, and quality
  2. Elicit and prioritize requirements across business lines, corporate functions, and enterprise stakeholders
  3. Partner with product and technology teams to oversee design, development, testing, implementation, and go-live transition
  4. Build business cases for strategic programs and support funding requests aligned to the roadmap
  5. Communicate roadmap priorities, trade-offs, and delivery status to key stakeholders and senior leaders

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
  • Ten years of experience leading strategic programs and/or transformation initiatives in a complex, cross-functional environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end delivery (planning, requirements, execution governance, implementation, and go-live)
  • Proven ability to manage tight delivery timelines while maintaining strong control of scope, risks, and dependencies
  • Strong ability to build consensus and progress initiatives in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels, including senior leadership
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly and succinctly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Experience in data, analytics, and/or digital product delivery within large-scale organizations
  • Knowledge of data management and governance concepts, including operating models, controls, and stewardship
